Was going to wait and do this all at once, but this is going to be a long, time consumming build, so probably best to break it up some.

Played hookey from work today, sorry boss.

What's in the box.

First thing I did was to install the booms. The booms have brass inserts molded into them.

Next is to build the payload boom supports. The grommets are nice and soft, I would guess 20-30 durometer. There are no inserts in the brackets. I guess their thinking is it is better to strip them out than damage the center frames in a wreck.

Payload booms installed. These will carry the landing gear, battery tray and camera mount.

Battery tray installed. This uses a heavy duty plastic snap on clamp system. The clamps work great, don't believe they will ever be an issue, and also will allow the battry tray to break away withut tearing up the frame in a wreck.

Landing gear installed.

Motor mout installation on the motors.

Motor's installation.

At this point it came time to decide how I was going to distribute power? I've toyed with this idea for about a week.
What I decided to do was to crimp some rings onto the esc power leads, then solder all the rings so nothing can come loose. Bolt them all together along with a larger gauge main battery connector wires, double nut them so they can not become loose and then wrap the whole installation with insulation tape.
Simple, effective.

Next up, installing the esc's on the bottom frame.

Before installing the top frame, I installed the LED strips. These are the Demension Engineering strips. I'm using 2 green strips on the 2 front cross booms and 2 red on the back. Super glued these onto the bottom of the booms.
