Storing fully charged in the fridge

Hi guys,

I see so many posts about how essential it is to store your batteries at half charge. I guess this is okay if you only fly every Sunday, but it's not really practical for me. I have a young family, so when the rare moment comes for me to have a fly, I just need to grab my batteries and head down to the park straight away. This could be before breakfast or after dinner mid-week, or week-end. Therefore I need to store them fully charged, or else miss out on most of my flying opportunities.

After reading the following article, I decided to store my fully charged batteries in the fridge:

http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/a...ased_batteries

It basically says that fully charged batteries stored at room temperature lose 20% capacity per year, but those stored at fridge temperature lose 6% a year, while half charge batteries will lose 4% a year at room temperature and 2% a year at fridge temperature.

Does anyone else do this? Am I doing the right thing? I've been doing it for two years, and it seems okay, but I've only just moved to larger sized helis (just built a 550 size) so with the large more expensive batteries, I'm trying to make sure I do the right thing.

Any comments or ideas appreciated.

Thanks,
Harrow.
