Hey everyone....
I'm back! :peace
After half a year without helis (hard times :arggg:), I am now bringing the big one over. I moved to California this summer for University (I'm from Germany). I am going back for X-mas, and will return with my heli.
Trex 500 (fully blinged out), most precious thing in the world for me.
Now from what I have read, many take them in the carry-on. This is an international flight, and regulations will be stricter. There are a lot of sharp/dangerous pieces on my heli. Is this really a good idea? Anyone every have trouble with it?
What about the battery back. That is explosive, how do they allow that on the plane at all, let alone carry-on?
Same for the Tx, is it safe to take a powerful radio transmitter on a plane carry-on, or will they take it off me.
On the other hand, if I pack everything (well wrapped in sheets) in my check in bag, and that gets lost, I am screwed.
What to do what to do???
Thanks for any input.
Tim
