I am not by any means suggesting this as a replacement to well structured practice, but....I was just on the sim and got a phone call...being the heli addict that I am I started goofing around flying with one hand....start on the pad, add throttle/collective until she gently takes off then use your right hand on the cyclic stick and do not touch the yaw stick.....keep the heli within "seeing" distance using only the cyclic...it will run you through various orientations over and over...may be a silly suggestion...further evaluation will tell :). I am all for structured learning, but often times flying brings the unexpected....so supplemental learning can only help.
