Ok, I was practicing some low flying maneuvers in some gusty wind when my tail on my fbl 450 sport hit the pavement hard enough to strip one of the torque gears. I set the heli down and hit throttle hold but the thing kept spinning in idle up mode. I tried flicking the throttle hold on and off but no success- finally I t shut down. I got it to the bench and connected the battery again and noticed one of my servos weren't moving and my beastx kept restarting after cyclic input. I also noticed the light on my spektrum receiver kept blinking like crazy. I disassembled the compromised servo and during the process decided to feel my stock esc heatsink: it felt like it was on fire. After letting it cool down and repairing the align 410 servo I powered it back up and everything was back to normal......weird. My question is what would make the electronics go nuts like that, did the BEC have a temporary glitch or did the stuck servo cause the esc to run hot and cause a thermal shutdown or something? Do you think it's safe to fly?
