I just "upgraded" the tail servo on my Trex 550 from the stock DS620 to a BLS 980 for the extra speed. Went through the vBar setup for the new servo and took it out for a maiden yesterday (760 us, reasonable limits, etc.). The heli went from a rock-solid smooth tail to a small fast wag. The only change was the servo.
Varying the common gain from 40 up to 110 made an almost imperceptible change to the speed of the wag. I stepped through most of the pro parameters (Igain Pgain) with almost no change either. I'm going review my mechanical setup, but based on it flying smoothly with the 620 everything should be fine.
Any suggestions? Anybody else using the BLS980 with 5.2 pro?
