Nice piece of work but unfortunately I have an issue with it. The stock tail shaft slides quite easy through the bearings but the hardened one is real thick and does not want to slide in. I polished it a bit with a 600 sandpaper and then I was able to put the bearings with some pressure on them but now they go real hot real quick when I spool it up which makes me think something is not right. I assume either I compressed the bearings too much or the shaft is at an angle to the boom or both of them. The belt also spins at the very end of the pulley which does not seem right to me.
I'll try the stock shaft and eventually play with the carbon plates to put them straight to each other even more but point is, have anyone experienced such a problem before ? Any ideas or thoughts are welcome.
