New MCPx owner as of yesterday...need more stick time!!

OK, so I got my MCPx yesterday and have hovered around through several battery charges. Right now I am trying to learn good hovering technique and stick control. What is the best way to get the most flight time possible? How many battery packs do I need to keep on hand? How many can I charge at one time? What do I need to charge multiple batteries (charger, board, etc)? What are the cheapest batteries out there that give decent flight times? Keep in mind, this is for basic hovering, so no performance flying (yet!).
