I just got one of these for Christmas from the wife. I have several other helis from the mSR to a Trex 500. I have lots of experience with these but none with flybarless.
I have a DX8 and got the mCP X setup downloaded from the Spektrum site.
THIS BIRD ACTS LIKE THAT AWFUL HUMMINGBIRD FROM 10 YEARS AGO!! EEEK!
When I spool up all is great, but doesn't actually lift off until I am about 80% collective. Just as she is lifting off, the tail starts to move counter clockwise and I compensate with appropriate rudder correction. When I do that she SUDDENLY makes an uncommanded severe right turn, starting to flip over to the right. Basically, she just tips over instead of hovering, like I have the stick full right or have it way out of trim.
I have to bottom the collective to save her.
I have NO trim at all set, I copied the model to a new unused slot.
I'm no newbe; I've been flying helis for 10 years and am comfortable with sport flying, no 3D.
Please help!!
