Trying to get some info about getting a bigger bird. I got a bonus coming in a month and a half was was looking into buying a 770-800 size bird. I've had a couple of 700 sizes (700e, X7) but I know the 800 class birds are a whole nother animal. I really like the Goblin 770, mostly because i have a 630 and just like the way they look. Not a big fan of the logo xxxtreme and the Align 800 is aight. Those are the only one's I know of.

I was looking for people's opinions on the bigger birds and what needs to be taken into consideration in conjunction with them? Any do's or dont's or must have's when it comes to this size bird? Any info is good info. Thanks to those who lend their opinion. :peace

Coming from a vbar stretch protos 500. I've just set up an ikon on my new 600SX. Everything was very easy. I have so far 7 flights on it. During flight I`ve noticed the following abnormal characteristics:

• Pitching up during FFF.
• Slow roll rate (ail or elev) from hovering, but fast (more ideal) during FFF.
• During hovering, heli requires constant up elev correction (drifting backwards)

Heli is setup on "3D" in ikon software. Running 1800-2100 head speed.

Any advice on why it would be acting this way?

Just an FYI, I was just informed that certain RC Supplier is selling meanwell power supplies for over 110.00 USD more than they can be purchased from other suppliers.

In an effort to avoid bashing, just avoid purchasing (a non RC item) from an RC distributor.

If your in the market for a Meanwell Power Supply, do yourself a favor and google the best price. Don't buy it from an RC supplier that is marking it up (out of this world)

Never flown Blade 450 X for sale. I never felt comfortable enough between my stick time with smaller birds and the hours poured into the Phoenix Sim to risk this beauty and now I have a quad addiction to feed. The voltage is already set to 6v and the diode is included but not installed. I also found a motor mount screw head stripped from the factory and can replace that if you're not planning to complete the motor loctite mod.

I need some new blades and was looking at the RJX set but they are 520mm, I've seen others post about using them but is there anything I should look out for? Im using Talon ESC , stock 16T pully and Quantum 4115-1200 motor.

How does spinning 520 change the flight characteristics?

On the job injury in April, and surgery followed. Healing good and most of the way through physical therapy. AND NOW I AM ABLE TO FLY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bacon:bacon

Have full mobility in the injured shoulder and today I loaded up and went to the field I use to fly.
Ran 4 packs through the 450 and 4 packs in X5. Easy FF, flips, rolls, banked turns, just an easy day of flying and enjoying the low 80 degree day. Nobody around, no gawkers, not a soul to disturb me. It was great. All came back in one piece. Good day!

Icharger 306b roughly 4 months old purchased from progressiveRC. Optional homemade power supply. Charger is in mint condition with no marks or physical damage. OPTIONAL PS was made by one of our local hobby store guys. Runs the 306b just fine. Was told it was rated at 800watts, but i have never tested it. Max i ever had it to was the 306b pulling 26 amps out of it. Comes with everything in the box, and the original cd. Buying a house and getting out of the hobby till all is said and done. I'm looking for the best charger to charge all my batteries at once. From 350 mAh to 600 mAh for the v120. I heard the stock walkera USB chargers aren't that great, and now they're broken to the piont that I can only charge one at a time. Is there a cheap ( <= 25$ ) charger that can charge three 350 mAh batteries and one 600 mAh battery together? (All one cell) please if you have an answer and you read this post get back to me. Thanks.

Edit: if you don't have an answer to my specific question, lmk what charger you're using to charge walkera lipos.

Looking for the followimg parts to fix a 500 I just purchased off a fellow club member at the field. Not much broke but I want to fully repair with new parts to be sure its good as new again.
1. Main gear
2. Main and tail blades
3. Umbrella gears
4. Digital servo
5. Main shaft
6. Feathering shaft.

I will most likely get rid of the 3gx that the super combo comes with so thats up for sale or trade as well. Will include the acc. Needed to program the 3gx.

Hey everybody,

So as most of you know, I am completely new to the mCPX and CP helis. (I haven't even flown a FP heli). Anyways, I programmed the settings on my DX6i to fly like a mellow fixed pitch helicopter. The video link I followed is below. So I did everything exactly like I was supposed to do, and I took out my helicopter to the flying field today. :peace ..... of course after practicing a while on my phoenix simulator.... So here is my problem...

The helicopter hardly lifted of the ground when it was in normal mode. however, when I put on flight mode, the helicopter was flying well (like a FP heli!) I don't know much about what flight mode is. Do I need to always keep my transmitter in flight mode?? What does flight mode exactly do??

Another thing I noticed when flying around, was that there was a little bit of tail wag. It was a little breezy out. so I don't know if that is normal...

Also, I think I'm learning fine, since my mCPX is tamed down alot. i fly only on the grass, and use throttle hold when I loose control....no damage....

Used MCPX-BL and Nano for sale.

MCPX - needs a frame, canopy, and tail boom. Frame only because the rearmost hole for the skid is too large and the skid falls out, can be glued if needed. Also needs rear boom (brand new in package boom included). Lastly the canopy has had a rough life, and should probably be replaced. Comes with new set of mains never used, and 2 tails never used. comes with 3 oem batteries and oem charger

Nano - canopy is pretty rough as well. motor was recently replaced about 15 flights ago. Has microheli aluminum swash. Nano probably needs a board, it binds fine, but has itermittent flashing on board and motor cutout until you get it in the air, once airborne its fine (i believe its a board issue).comes with 4 oem batteries and oem charger.

$150 paypal, CONUS takes both. Id rather not split them, the nano is kind of a throw in since a new board can be expensive. Im buying a new house, and getting out of the hobby until all is said and done.

Ok I am by far a expierenced pilot ....ok I was flying my 450 ....and I noticed a purple martin bird take a shot at it so I flew it away from that area .........kept flying and it was about aminute later I had around 15 birds taking shots at it so I decided to land I was around 80ft up and about 200 ft away .....and they wer getting so close and crouding my helli I didnt want to hurt the birds so I cut throttle at around 60 ft and watched it bounce and here is the damage.....bent flybar....snapped feather shaft landing gear is shot other than that all is good ....here is the pics
